Why AR? I love being off-road in beautiful scenery. I love the overlay of the intellectual aspect on top of the physical. I think that being a father of 4 boys helps massively with this sort of racing: there are lots of similarities with taking the boys out for a long day’s walk in the hills or on a mountain bike ride. I haven’t yet had to resort to the “jelly baby every 50m of vertical climb” trick whilst racing, but you never know!
